Alex is a partner in the planning and compulsory purchase team at Burges Salmon LLP, having trained and qualified with the firm in 2010.  He is a specialist infrastructure planning lawyer, with particular experience in infrastructure projects, energy, power and utilities projects, compulsory purchase claims, and developments relating to mines and minerals. Alex acts on a wide range of projects for developers, landowners and local authority clients.  He regularly promotes Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, including the National Infrastructure Planning Association’s project of the year for 2023.

He is a Legal Associate of the Royal Town Planning Institute and a member of the National Infrastructure Planning Association and the Compulsory Purchase Association.  Alex regularly speaks at events and conferences, and publishes articles on a range of subjects in national publications.
