Joined the Environment Agency in September 2001 – starting off as a Planning Officer before spending 7 years as a Team Leader for the West Midlands Area Planning team.  Following a short spell as Communications/Engagement Manager moved on to position of EA Project Manager for the High Speed Two (HS2) project in April 2013. After 2 years as Project Manager, became Manager for the EA HS2 team in April 2015.

In November 2022, took on the position of National Infrastructure Manager at the EA – recruiting a new central team to take the lead on the future pipeline of Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs) in England.
